The staff has the authority in policy enforcement. Individuals not cooperating with established policies or staff instruction will be asked to leave and may have their privileges revoked. Please contact Recreational Services staff should an injury or incident occur.Please clean and return all equipment after use.Water must be in a sealable container other drinks are not allowed.Personal items must be stored in a locker or cubby.Changing bike pedals for clips is prohibited. For cycling classes, bikes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and may not be reserved in advance.When using Rec Services mats, please sanitize mats at the conclusion of class and return to designated storage. For mind/body sessions, personal mats are permitted and encouraged.Workout towels are mandatory in the cycling studio.All equipment must stay in the group fitness studio.There must be two participants present to conduct a class.Patrons arriving 10 minutes past the scheduled start time will be not be allowed entrance. Only Rec Services staff is permitted to operate audio equipment and unlock equipment storage.Group Fitness Studios will be locked during non-group fitness times.Street shoes must be removed upon entering the Mind/Body Studio. Five-finger shoes are not allowed in the cycle studio. Appropriate athletic clothing and closed-toed shoes must be worn.No patrons under the age of 18 permitted.A valid K-State student ID or Keytag is required to attend a class.Programming is intended for audiences 18 and older. Those following the workout routines do so at their own risk. Please be sure to check that any equipment or space in which you use to exercise is safe and not at risk of causing harm to you or those who may be around you. If you experience faintness, dizziness, pain or shortness of breath at any time while exercising you should stop immediately. Do not start this fitness program if your physician or health care provider advises against it, or if you have a medical or physical condition that may increase your risk of injury or death. Please note: Exercise is not without its risks and this or any other exercise program many result in injury.Terrace Yoga: Reservations are required.You can purchase hybrid gloves at the Nicholas Recreation Center Member Services desk. If you do not have hybrid gloves, you will be asked to strike off the bag for your own safety. Strike360: Hybrid boxing gloves are required to make contact with the bag.Failure to cancel will result in a no-show/late cancellation fee. If a participant does not feel their best, they are responsible for canceling their registration online & can do so up to 2 hours prior to the start of class. We encourage all participants to check-in with themselves 3 hours before attending a group fitness class to ensure they are feeling their best prior to attending a class and are still able to attend. Cancelling after that will result in a $10 no-show/late cancellation fee. You may cancel your reservation online up to 2 hours before class starts. Reservations open 48 hours in advance and closes 15 minutes before class begins. No-shows will be subject to a $10 no-show fee. Unclaimed spots will be given to drop-in participants 5 minutes before class start time. Reserve at and arrive at least 10 minutes before class start time to claim your spot. Group Cycling classes, Train360, Strike360, Cardio360, Tread & Flex, Shallow Water, Deep Water and Terrace Yoga: Secure your spot ahead of time.Taking photos or videos during class is strictly prohibited unless approved in advance by our Marketing & Communications department ( click here to submit a Marketing & Media Request).Out of respect for the instructor and participants, please avoid conversations while class is in session.Please avoid using your cell phone when class is in session if necessary, make calls and texts outside of the room.A minimum of three participants is required for all classes to be held.At the end of class, please clean and put away your equipment and exit the studio.Each virtual class is limited to the first 99. All virtual passes are non-refundable and are separate from our Land/Water group fitness passes. Our team is ready to help walk you through the sign-up process should you need assistance. To avoid interruptions, late entry will not be allowed 5 minutes after class start time.
